Raising Safety Awareness Through Everyday Observation
At Infus, safety is everyone’s responsibility.
To strengthen our safety culture and raise awareness of potential hazards in the workplace, Infus recently organized the “Safety Fortune Draw: Spot, Report & Prevent” activity, inspired by the Thai concept of เซียมซี (fortune sticks).
The activity encouraged employees across all departments to take a closer look at their surroundings and identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, or situations that could potentially lead to an accident or near miss. Employees were invited to share their observations by writing them down and submitting them as part of the activity.
The goal was simple: See it. Report it. Prevent it.
By encouraging everyone to actively observe their working environment, the activity helped employees recognize that safety is not only the responsibility of the Safety team—it is a shared responsibility across the entire organization. Every observation can provide an opportunity to address a potential risk before it becomes an accident.
To make the activity engaging and encourage participation, employees who submitted their observations were also entered into a lucky draw. At the end of the activity, selected employees received prizes as a thank-you for their active participation and contribution to creating a safer workplace.
More than just a lucky draw, the activity reminded us that every pair of eyes can help identify a hazard, every report can create an opportunity for improvement, and every action can help prevent an accident.
